This pouch is pure dried, edible dulse seaweed, nothing more, nothing less. It’s an ideal cooks ingredient, packed with flavour and wholesome goodness.
Dulse (Palmaria palmata) is one of our favourites, with a fantastic colour and great taste. Dulse comes with a rich cultural history, eaten for centuries by people, especially those living along coastlines.
Dulse has a pleasing sweet taste with salty, nut-like flavours, a little like bacon. It is a source of plant protein and potassium along with many other minerals. Use as a seasoning by stirring into soups, stews or added to pasta sauce or rehydrate, finely chop and add to fish pie.
